Description

The Manager of HSE is responsible for the overall safe work practices by Corix US Operations employees. This position ensures that the organizations are in compliance with all OSHA, DOT & NFPA requirements. In addition, this position manages all work related incidents and provides differing levels of support and governance to operations locations within the United States.

Responsibilities:

You will manage the US Operations safety processes and improvements including managing and assisting in the implementation and maintenance of safety analysis for multiple US Operations locations. This person will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with OSHA, DOT, NFPA and EPA standards and that our operations meet all federal, state and local environmental regulations as well as managing the overall safety and providing guidance when needed.

You will direct procedures and policies of the HSE department including analyzing and evaluating current practices and systems to ensure daily operations, prioritize work to meet timelines and manage continuous improvement in safety, procedures, and operational methods, and proactively address needed changes to correct situations, minimize risk and reduce the rate of incidents and injury. You will also coordinate with management to perform work site health and safety investigations and audits to assure compliance with safety policies and procedures.

Will travel 25-30% of time; will be exposed to road and weather hazards.

Requirements

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational and Environmental Safety and Heath preferred.
  • 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in occupational and environmental safety in a utility related field.
  • Experience with same or similar operations including (Steam, Chilled Water, Natural Gas & Water Distribution, Wastewater Collection) preferred.
  • Previous management experience preferred.
  • Previous experience performing safety task analysis. Workers compensation experience preferred.

Valid Driver's license required.
