Job Description:

Price Industries Inc. is on the search for a Customer Service/Account Manager for its growing US office and manufacturing facility located in Suwanee, GA. This position will report to the Vice President of Sales and will be responsible for managing customer service (Account Management) and the order entry process-from customer inquiry to Production Control, to optimize customer satisfaction and support effective production scheduling. Successful candidate will lead and/or support strategic purchasing initiatives (specifics to be determined)

Responsibilities:

  • Optimize customer satisfaction with the Order Entry process through: Order Entry Process Quality (e.g., accuracy, effectiveness, efficiency). Information-provide order status information both proactively and in response to customer inquiries.
  • Continuously improve process effectiveness and cost of order entry process.
  • Participate in the development of EDI for customer order entry.
  • In coordination with Manufacturing, support systematic lead-time reduction.
  • Managing list pricing for all products, in coordination with the National Sales Manager and Marketing Communications. Maintain spreadsheets for pricing action decisions (i.e., competitive responses).
  • Manage rep contracts, in coordination with the National Sales Manager. Use software tools to define U.S. representative territories.
  • Provide limited support for customer visits to the Price Technical Center (as appropriate). May include training and tours.
  • Reduce total costs of materials, including invoice price, freight, and inventory.
  • In coordination with Shipping Management, serve as a consultant to optimize the function of the finished goods warehouse stock, to serve customers and best utilize available resources.
  • Develop strategic purchasing initiatives, in coordination with Design Engineering and Manufacturing. May include alternate sourcing, supplier-owned inventory, logistics, make-vs-buy analysis, etc..
  • Lead the Account Manager (Customer Service) as the "go-to": contracts for the vast majority of all customer needs. Develop the organization to function effectively as: In-house sales managers-pushing the reps to develop incremental business; primary customer-solvers-responding to customer needs, with the empowerment to garner the support of other Price departments; P&L oriented business managers-maximizing the long term benefit to Price.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to work effectively in a multitasking environment and work constructively under pressure.
  • Ability to manage staff to optimize business processes, and to develop the organization for continuous improvement and self-sufficiency.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior level customers, company senior management, factory supervision, clerical staff, outside suppliers, and others in our industry.
  • Adept with office software such as Microsoft Office, including word processing, spreadsheet, database management and presentation software.
  • Ability and desire to learn new software and apply it in improving business processes.
  • History of learning and applying new concepts to business process improvement.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate.
  • Ability to make sound and timely decisions.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.

Education/Relevant Experience/ Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
  • 8-10 years' experience of managing customer service.
  • MUST HAVE: 5+ years working experience in HVAC manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in sheet-metal industry a Huge Plus.
