Description
Overview

Perform Human Resources related duties at the professional level and carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training/LMS, employment, benefits and compensation programs.

This position also partners with IT to ensure HRIS database integrity across the organization. 

Responsibilities

  • Processes new hire paperwork and maintains employment files and HRIS system with current and up to date information.
  • Partner with IT and Payroll to ensure HRIS database integrity across organization. 
  • Establish and maintains confidential files and records including employee data entry in the Enterprise HRIS, creating and generating reports as required. 
  • Coordinate onboarding for new corporate hires and termination processing for exiting employees. 
  • Responsible for 401(k) processing including employee contribution data entry.
  • Responsible for the administration of Success Factors LMS, including creating and assigning courses. 
  • Perform recruiting and employment related activities in compliance with government regulations and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Act as first-level support for employee insurance inquiries and follow up on problems with third party administrator, vendors and senior staff as needed.
  • Develop the Corporate annual EEO and Affirmative Action Plans in compliance with state and federal guidelines.  Monitor and evaluate plans and develop recommendations for achieving improvement.
  • Assist department management in communicating current and new Human Resource Management practices.
  • Assist with other HR Department projects as assigned and benefit open enrollment initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in human resources management, business administration or related discipline is preferred or equivalent work experience.

Professional Experience:

  • 3-5 years experience working in a Generalist role.
  • Experience in a Human Resources position is required.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM-CP certification preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of HRIS software, ORACLE JD Edwards Enterpriseone preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Working knowledge of SAP.
  • Basic knowledge of Human Resource theories, practices, and accepted procedures.
  • The ability to research and analyze various different type of data information.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and assertiveness, the ability to plan and manage work in an efficient manner, and the ability to work well under stress and time pressures.
  • Ability to consistently meet multiple and often conflicting deadlines.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Data entry skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytic skills
  • Able to interact with all levels of management.
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Commitment to customer service and ability to work in team oriented environment.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of maintaining frequent contact with upper management, customers, vendors, and/or internal staff to furnish and obtain information and resolve issues; typically capable of developing and delivering effective group presentations.
