Description
JOB DUTIES

  • Proactively and reactively assist Area Sales Team in meeting sales goals and making profitable sales of electric end-use products and non-traditional products
  • Proactively and reactively assist Area Sales team in meeting Energy Efficiency goals
  • Assist Sales Team with all aspect of sales support duties including sales verification, reporting, spreadsheets, correspondence, research, customer proposals, presentations, performance metrics and other administrative tasks
  • Generate ideas for new value-added products and services based upon knowledge of customer needs
  • Effectively use of new sales methodologies
  • Provide input and validation to the load reporting process, rebate payment, and lead role in ensuring compliance processes
  • Promote Target Zero and Southern LifeStyle with team
  • Promote and support Region's customer satisfaction initiatives
  • Develop through Energy Expert initiative
  • Participate in region's external plan (meetings/events often after hours)
  • Partner with Region and corporate partners to ensure business results
  • Participate in storm restoration efforts

Requirements

Education:

  • Four Year College Degree Preferred

Experience:

  • 1-3 years' experience in Sales/Marketing and/or Region Operations preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Working knowledge of heat pump and water heater applications and other competitive end-uses
  • Knowledge of value-added products/services and their applications
  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or the ability to learn and understand the Company's Rates, Rules and Regs, Riders, and Contracts as well as the Company's products and services
  • Knowledge of sales support technology such as CSS, RMIS, AIMS, and Clear/iClear
  • Excellent computer and analytical skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills as well as strong oral and written communication skills
  • Possess sales skills including the ability to identify profitable new sales opportunities and initiate new sales opportunities
  • Working knowledge of GPC Customer Operations (Power Delivery, CCC, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Works well in a team environment and thrives on contributing to team's success.
  • Good time management and multi-tasking abilities
  • Strong process development and improvement skills
  • Highly motivated with a desire for career advancement
