Description
Provide expertise in the investment recovery process to ensure cost effective disposition of excess and obsolete materials. Responsibilities include salvage, marketing, environmentally correct disposal, accounts receivable, shipping, invoicing, and tracking of excess and obsolete materials.

Responsibilities of this position include the following:

  • Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies for all PacifiCorp facilities.
  • Research and establish the reuse and market value of equipment.
  • Plan and execute equipment sales and/or internal transfers.
  • Promote Investment Recovery through presentations within PacifiCorp and research areas for potential customers
  • Monitor business and supplier performance and manage strategic relationships with key supplier.
  • Identify, develop, negotiate, and manage long term preferred business contracts. 
  • Develop request for proposals, evaluate proposals, and make appropriate awards.
  • Provide knowledge and oversight to ensure adherence to environmental regulations and protect the company from liability
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field; or equivalent work experience
  • Proficient with the use of personal computers including spreadsheet, database, word processing, and presentation applications to gather, analyze, and model information.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to consult with internal and external customers regarding matters/issues which may be sensitive and complex in nature.
  • Ability to work with all levels of an organization including people with different styles and backgrounds; ability to work as a member of a team; ability to present alternatives and recommendations.
  • Knowledge of applicable company policies and procedures; applicable federal, state, and local governmental laws and regulations.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.

Preference may be given to candidates who meet the above requirements and have the following:

  • Certified manager of Investment Recovery (CMIR).
  • Experience in developing contracts and vendor relations.
  • Experience with electric utility procurement experience.
  • Understand construction/major works procurement activities.
  • Knowledge of electric utility structure, policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
