Description
- Management of projects to ensure safety, reliability, environmental and human impacts are mitigated while meeting project goals including, but not limited to schedule, budget, safety and overall quality.
- Embrace Safety and Quality objectives on all projects and work to ensure each project has and follows the approved plans.
- Working with upper management to select project team members while working to ensure other project teams are staffed appropriately.
- Supervises and responsible for the work of other project team members.
- Defines and provides job scopes and costs estimates for projects.
- Provides engineering design support and technical guidance to the project on an as needed basis.
- Conducts engineering evaluation and compiles and computes engineering data/statistics while maintaining accurate records and preparing clear and concise reports.
- Develops and provides monthly cash flow forecasts and monitors so that recommendations can be made regarding costs, scope, and schedule.
- Sign and seal construction drawings.
- Interacts with various personnel, clients, stakeholders and agencies regarding assigned projects.
- Conducts internal and external project team meetings on a regular basis.
- Creates and maintains project specific documentation prior to, during and following completion of a project to ensure compliance with state and federal laws, corporate policies and procedures or other guidelines.
- Ensures that facilities are constructed in compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Analyzes and monitors processes and in turn provides recommendations related to process improvements.
- Interprets maps and coordinates with GIS and CADD staff to develop project maps and drawings in order to manage project needs.
- Prepares proposals and presentations and lead/participate as required to support ongoing business development opportunities.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution and/or minimum of ten years of project management/engineering experience working on oil and gas projects exceeding $1 million.
- PE Preferred.
- Previous energy industry experience preferred.
- Knowledge of pipeline engineering and / or operations.
- Experience in project management and / or design engineering involving gas or liquid pipelines.
- Knowledge, interpretation and applicability of regulatory codes and standards (DOT, FERC, etc.)
- Ability to meet project deadlines and perform assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision and with accuracy.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, including technical writing abilities and prepare clear and concise reports, procedures and correspondence.
- Ability to maintain and establish effective working relationships and to train and supervise project team members.
- Ability to review work of others, interpret and ensure accuracy of drawings, specifications, completeness and constructability.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
- Ability to compile, review and reconcile data for accuracy, completeness and compliance.
- Ability to travel as required and perform on-site design and engineering assessments.
- Use of standard computer applications including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project and other relevant applications required to perform job duties.
Tests & Exams:
- Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background check
- Successful completion of a pre-employment driver's history check
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test
