Description
Reporting to the Manager, Product Development, this position supports new business development initiatives, assesses cost and manufacturability of product and leads product design optimization. This position must interface with the sales team, business team, and plant engineering.
- Lead multiple development and cost initiative projects simultaneously
- Create and develop novel concepts for communications cabling designs
- Collaborate with the business team & marketing on technical product placement and messaging
- Active participation and contribution to standards organizations
- Tracking and Documenting Handling of Engineering Changes
- Identify, evaluate and bring to the table cost savings and product improvement ideas. Follow through on selected ideas to achieve the savings or improvement
- Maintain accurate product specification requirements as related to regulatory standards and customer specific requirements
Requirements
- Undergraduate (BS) degree in an appropriate field of Engineering (Electrical Engineering Degree Preferred)
- 1 - 3 years professional level engineering experience
