Description
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the design of plans, preliminary estimations and details, with the use of the guidelines for the projects relating to the field of Commercial Buildings
- Establish design calculations and ensure plans correspond to the guidelines. the code prescriptions and other regulations
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients in order to define their needs, explain technical information, concepts and study results
- Produce statements of quantities and prepare budget assessment
- Verify and complete request for proposals, estimates and other technical documents
- Supervise the work of Technicians and Draftspersons appointed to the project
- Assist all team members as required
- Perform all other related tasks that will help complete the project
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3 years of experience in the design of Commercial Buildings
- Registered as an E.I.T. with APEGA
- LEED Accreditation and sustainable design experience are considered assets
- Comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with AutoCAD drafting
- Proficiency working with Revit
- Experience in engineering consulting
- Good initiative and attention to details
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Excellent communication, time management, multitasking, and detail orientation skills
- Capable of working in a dynamic, fast paced environment
- Effectively manages a variety of projects simultaneously
- Able to balance work and personal requirements
- Enjoys working in a professional office environment, with occasional client site visits and work outside of normal business hours when required
