Description
Must be proficient in calibrating, maintaining and troubleshooting the following instrumentation: Transmitters, Switches of all types, Valves, Analyzers (CEMS Air Emissions equipment and Water Chemistry).
- Experience working with various Distributed Control System's (DCS), Westinghouse Ovation Preferred.
- Must be able to read and understand technical manuals, P&ID's, electrical schematics and control logic (SAMA) diagrams.
- Follows all safe work practices and procedures.
- Perform maintenance activities to the degree the individual is qualified and in a safe manner.
- Must be proficient in the ability to interpret power generation systems, procedures and drawings.
- Monitors performance to identify operating characteristics, take necessary actions to prevent or limit failure, optimize efficiency, identify root cause and implement countermeasures.
- Understands and follows procedures for compliance with all environmental regulations.
- Must be able to perform daily CEMS calibrations, routine CEMS maintenance, Linearity's, RATA testing and troubleshooting of CEMS analyzers and sampling systems.
- Must be able to respond to off-hour callouts and work a reasonable amount of overtime
- Good communications skills, oral/written & basic computer skills.
- Scheduled to work 5 days a week, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Requirements
Electrical/Instrumentation and Controls apprenticeship, vocational certificate, military training or equivalent required.
Proficient in skills and abilities relating to: calibrating, maintaining and troubleshooting instrumentation and control equipment and systems.
