This individual will support of Eaton LAN and WAN network to fit the requirements of project stakeholders, customers, and end users conforming to the standards established by the IT organization. Review, critique and provide constructive feedback for solutions design of others. Assess and direct IT support activities to ensure compliance with established Eaton IT and industry standards. Incorporate information about Network support standards, Network engineering standards, roadmaps and evolving standards from IT peer organizations (security & compliance, framework, platforms, etc.) into Supports by actively soliciting advice from those organizations.
At this level, the Senior Network Specialist provides broad support of solutions and adhere to standards for LAN(Wired and WIFI) / WAN engineering, MAN, & network equipment that services all Eaton locations globally.
Essential functions include:
- Provide Network Support WAN, LAN (wired, wireless) network, VOIP based business requirements
- Conduct Support reviews with delivery teams for network & VOIP solutions
- Vendor Support Management including AT&T Business Direct and Cisco TAC
- Technical leadership for the Enterprise global network Domain:
- Participate in review of new standards, roadmaps & strategy for data & voice networking
- Support for Data Center Network, LAN, Wireless, MAN & WAN
- Participate in review of new technologies vs. existing
- Lead in support activities of acquisition and divestiture activities related to network support
- Expert level knowledge of networking & VOIP technologies
- Supports, confer and partner with sites on WAN, LAN performance for Eaton facilities
- Influences, follow and promotes all Eaton Support processes
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum 8 years technical experience in all supporting networking technologies, including LAN, MAN, WAN, Wireless and VOIP technologies
- Minimum 6 years experience with Cisco wireless in a Flex-connect configuration
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Cisco Certifications , CCENT, CCNA, CCNP or CCIE
Position Criteria:
- Experience in Network Monitoring and Performance tools: Netscout, Cisco Prime, Solarwinds, NetFlow, IPv4, IPv6, MPLS, ISDN, Cisco VoIP, QOS, Network Security, etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels, including senior level management
- Experience as a team lead with the demonstrated ability to perform leadership functions.
- Experience in prioritizing support issues and handle multiple open support issues.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco products including, VoIP, Prime, ACS, WIFI, and MPLS services and technology
- Strong project management skills.
- Strong vendor management support..
- International experience, proven work outside of North America.
