Eaton's Corporate IT Group is seeking an IT Manager of Mobile Operations. The IT Manager - Mobile Operations will be based at any Eaton facility in the US. No relocation is being offered for this position. If the candidate resides within 50 miles of Beachwood, Ohio, the candidate must work at that site. If the candidate resides more than 50 miles away from Beachwood, Ohio, Candidate will work from nearest US Eaton Facility within 50 mile radius.

Job Overview:

The IT Manager - Mobile Operations is within the Infrastructure Center of Excellence (INFCOE). This individual will manage a team of professionals responsible for administering mobile operations across the Eaton enterprise.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Administration of mobile operations includes the following components:
    • Centralized Mobile Device Procurement
    • Mobile Contract Negotiation
    • Mobile Device Selection Strategy
    • BYOiD Strategy
    • Mobile Device Remedy queue (Incident Response)
  • The Mobile Operations Manager will provide oversight of Eaton's mobile procurement program and help to drive the device adoption strategy and ensure alignment with the Site Infrastructure Support, Corporate Security and Architecture teams.
  • The Mobility Operations manager will also provide key data to assist with carrier contract negotiations worldwide in partnership with Supply Chain. In addition, this position will lead a team of technical professionals and contractors that will provide incident and mobile procurement support for the various mobile Remedy queues.
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • Participate in the overall Mobility Program led by the Architecture team to ensure procurement updates, device standards, policies are included the overall Mobility program updates
    • Coordinate with contractors providing mobile procurement services worldwide, to ensure compliance with the Mobile
  • Procurement Program
    • Lead the deployment of mobile plan/device consolidation leveraging regional resources.
    • Ensure successful integration/removal of Eaton acquisitions/divestitures by establishing mobile standards and processes.
    • Work with Security/Legal/SCM/HR/Employee Work Councils to develop relevant mobile usage and management policies worldwide.
    • Manage the mobile procurement/operations incident management process and assist in managing SLAs.
    • Deploy Eaton defined BYOiD and centralized procurement (ROW) to all relevant regions of the world.
    • Oversee the Mobile Device Management (MDM) deployment across the enterprise to ensure all mobile devices are appropriately managed according to Eaton policies.
Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT or graduate of Eaton's ITDP program
  • Sponsorship is not available. Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent and consistent basis without company sponsorship.
  • No relocation offered; If the candidate resides within 50 miles of Beachwood, Ohio, the candidate must work at that site.  If the candidate resides more than 50 miles away from Beachwood, Ohio, Candidate will work from nearest US Eaton Facility within a 50 mile radius.

Position Criteria: 

  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Previous roles in IT Infrastructure
  • Previous hands-on knowledge of Mobile technologies
  • Global team experience a plus
  • Familiarity with Expense Management systems
  • Excellent presentation skills to communication the mobile procurement roadmaps/strategy to senior IT and non IT audiences
  • In-depth understanding of mobile technologies and trends in a global environment, including: Apple iOS, Windows Phone, Blackberry, Tablets, ITIL framework experience
  • Excellent relationship management skills to closely interact with various business constituents.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills(verbal and written) to administer a highly visible program
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple activities/projects across time zones each region.
