Description
Reporting to the VP, Business Services, the Manager, Business Transformation is responsible for the overall planning, development and execution of all Business Transformation activities across the enterprise including, but not limited to, change management, process excellence, Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) and Affilaite Integration.

This position is located in our Calgary Head Office.

Responsibilities

Business Transformation

  • Develop Business Transformation policies and ensure alignment with the Business Transformation strategy.
  • Decision making on Business Transformation strategy and Business Transformation investments.
  • Formulate Business Transformation strategy and ensure it remains linked to the Business Strategy and trends in the external environment.
  • Ensure the Brion's Business Transformation operating model, organisation structures, roles and teams remain aligned to the needs of the business.
  • Articulate the value adding elements of the Business Transformation spend to Brion's senior leadership team.
  • Oversee Business Transformation and ensure consistent and quality service delivery, through internal and external audit processes.
  • Responsible for the career development of Business Transformation team members.

CNPC Affiliate Integration

  • Lead the Brion Energy/CNPC Affiliate Integration Team by:
  • Maintaining an effective project management plan;
  • Ensuring all monthly Affiliate Reports are complete and submitted on time;
  • Leading the Brion Energy/CNPC Affiliate Integration team to accomplish annual goals;
  • Supporting each Brion Energy/CNPC Affiliate Integration representative, ensuring quality MSAs are developed and implemented for all affiliates;
  • Leading the monthly Brion Energy/CNPC Affiliate Integration team meeting; and
  • Supporting each Brion Energy/CNPC Affiliate Integration representative, ensuring quality WO's are developed and implemented as required.

Change Management

  • Apply a structured change management approach and methodology for the people side change caused by projects and change efforts while working with project managers to successfully deliver projects on time and on budget.
  • Responsible for managing and implementing organizational wide change initiatives as they relate to Brion's portfolio of projects.
  • Develop a change management strategy based on a situational awareness of the details of the change and the groups being impacted by the change.
  • Identify potential people-side risks and issues and develop specific plans to mitigate or address the concerns.
  • Conduct readiness assessments, evaluate results and present findings in a logical and easy-to-understand manner.
  • Develop a set of actionable and targeted change management plans - including communication plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan and resistance management plan.
  • Support the execution of plans by employee-facing managers and business leaders.
  • Be an active and visible coach to executive leaders who are change sponsors.
  • Create and manage measurement systems to track adoption, utilization and proficiency of individual changes.
  • Create and enable reinforcement mechanisms and celebrations of success.
  • Ensure the necessary training is provided to users and work with project teams to integrate change.

EPMO (Enterprise Project Management Office)

  • Lead and manage project managers, project coordinators and change management specialists within the EPMO, who are responsible for working with a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team of resources to ensure projects are delivered on-time and on budget to the required quality levels.
  • Responsible for the change management processes associated with projects including change management assessment, change management plan, change management implementation and sustainment.
  • Manage multiple change management activities related to multiple projects throughout the organization at any given point in time.
  • Partner collaboratively with key stakeholders in the asset and functional units that are generating projects, impacting projects and that are being impacted by the projects.
  • Work closely with HR surrounding organizational structure changes.
  • Define best practices (standards and processes) regarding change management and project management discipline.
  • Responsible for improving the change management process as part of a continuous improvement effort.
  • Work with asset and functional units to estimate new projects.
  • Train teams on project management principles, methods and techniques; recommend process/procedural improvements.
  • Manage resourcing of talent to ensure projects are staffed in an efficient and effective manner; partnering with discipline leads to determine need for contractors and management of those contractors.
