The Supply Chain Technician ensures up-time and durability by completing repair and preventative maintenance for all field tools and equipment.  Create and maintain documentation to be used for costing and evaluation of failure analysis.

Supply Chain Technician Essential Responsibilities

  • Collect/document and maintain information pertaining to key tools and materials used in the field and apply this standard to all items shipped/returned and manufactured in the Novinium shop.
  • Develop and maintain a functional lay-out for the warehouse that facilitates proper inventory control and effective order selection.
  • Set-up the shop lay-out to provide a safe work environment that is clean and organized.
  • Ensure the warehouse pedestrian areas are free of debris and racking/shelving is kept clean and organized.
  • Handle multiple requests from various departments and prioritize as necessary.
  • Provide Monthly inventory verifications as requested on consumables and other critical items.
  • Provide QA to all assemblies manufactured internally and externally, items returned for maintenance and all tools and materials shipping to the field.
  • Participate in Assembly of items per drawings and engineering direction.
  • Provide purchasing with requisitions and feedback as to stock levels and potential shortages.
  • Provide Assistance to other departments as directed.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Ensure that standard procedures are followed for all items entering and leaving the Novinium shop/warehouse.
  • Track weekly time as to the amount of time devoted to engineering department duties.
  • Regularly confirm priorities with supervisor to ensure initiatives are being met.
Requirements

Job Specific Knowledge and Skills

  • Understand all current injection technology and the functioning of the associated tools.
  • Apply pre-trip and build requirements to all field tools and materials.
  • Ensure that all receiving paperwork is properly signed, documented and handled so that accounting can process correctly.
  • Operate company owned forklift under the Novinium forklift training program.
  • Pick and assemble orders as directed.
  • Be able to understand and interpret all warehouse/shop safety rules and SDS documents.
  • Field training will be assigned regularly; during this training all injection tech job duties will be applicable.
  • Proficient at all MS office applications.
  • Help with facility requests and upgrades as directed.
  • Focus on time sensitive work items to ensure that deadlines are met or exceeded, creating as much leeway for handling unexpected issues.

Education and Experience

  • Three to five (3-5) years' experience in light assembly, warehouse activities, and troubleshooting equipment problems.
  • High school diploma required.

 Working Conditions

  • This position has responsibilities in both an office environment and ambient warehouse shop area.
  • Use of proper PPE including footware, eye protection and any others that the assigned project requires in mandatory.
  • Field training will include working outside as directed could provide exposure a variety of elements.
