Description

Responsible for the day to day maintenance and operation of Windows Servers in support of a classified and unclassified DoD network. Supports the availability and consistency of the operations of the Windows 2012 or later Windows Domain environment. Able to work in a geographically dispersed team environment responsible for the management of a classified and unclassified DoD network.

Responds to server monitoring system alerts to evaluate and remedy identified problems. Maintains, Installs and configures servers, workstations, Ethernet network cabling, and other related equipment, devices, and systems. Supports the installation, maintenance and monitoring of an Unclassified and Classified Wide Area Network (WAN) and provide network administration support for VMWare Virtualized Microsoft Windows and Linux Servers and Workstations. Maintains a Microsoft Windows based network infrastructure including, Microsoft Active Directory with IAS / RADIUS, DNS, and Access Control Lists. Supports Network and System Vulnerability Assessment and Remediation, Backups and Disaster Recovery. Maintains up-to-date equipment, hardware and software inventories, and up-to-date network drawings. Troubleshoots networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct system malfunctions, operational difficulties, and remediate vulnerabilities. Position requires ability to participate in an on-call rotation (outside normal working hours or weekends) to supporting the Network Infrastructure to address critical outages.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Requires Bachelor's Degree in an Information Technology related discipline

OR

  • At least 4 years of a combination of IT Training, IT Certifications and progressively relevant work experience in the areas of Enterprise level Windows Active Directory Domain Administration and IT System Maintenance with at least two years of formal education.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in the following areas:
  • Implementing and maintaining Enterprise Level Microsoft Domain infrastructure
  • Windows Server Administration
  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • Group policy administration
  • Ability to successfully manage and maintain current patch levels on servers in an environment distributed across multiple locations using automated Patch Management solutions such as WSUS
  • Must have a strong grasp of computer system security to include Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security technical Implementation Guides (STIG)
  • Backups and Disaster Recovery systems
  • Must maintain DoD 8570.1 certification requirements for IAT-II.
  • Documented formal training in maintaining 2012 or later Microsoft Servers and Active Directory Domain infrastructure.
  • Documented formal training in Linux Server Administration (May be required)
  • Must possess and maintain an Active SECRET clearance.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued Driver's License.

  • RADIUS, DNS, Access Control Lists, MS Key Management Server, Bit Locker, Data at Rest, Public Key Infrastructure, Log review,
  • Installing and maintaining VMware server.
  • Linux (Red Hat) Server Administration
  • SQL Database administration
