Description
As Senior Product Manager, Predix Data Services, you will be responsible for creating strong working relationships with and influencing across executive leadership, product management, engineering & functional groups. You will create and to execute strategy within GE Digital, across GE businesses, and with partners and customers. You may mentor junior product managers.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • As a domain expert for your portfolio, you will engage customers at mid-level management & technical levels to develop/refine portfolio strategy, influence customer direction and execute strategy.Elevate how we engage with internal and external software businesses. You will be accountable for driving successful delivery of GE Digital products, making recommendations on extending software solutions, and representing General Electric to the outside market, including customers, partners and analysts.As Senior Product Manager, Predix Data Services you will:
  • Proactively drive portfolio and investment decision to balance customer needs, install base requirements (refresh) and long term enterprise differentiation. Evangelizes concepts beyond current offerings and considers business model innovation (product, service and delivery innovations)
  • Identify market opportunities, factor/influence market trend, define/manage requirements, establish/refine product management processes and be a data services domain/business expert for the portfolio to guide teams
  • Understand competitive pricing, industry norms and trends, business implications and influence on consumption behavior
  • Leverage overall portfolio and product strategy to create a detailed product plan tailored for balancing internal productivity and customer facing solutions
  • Work with all areas of the product management and software development lifecycle to deliver differentiated products. This position will strategically work to define and develop business plans, financial projections, and product positioning
  • Work cross-functionally across engineering, marketing, sales, internal and external customers, analysts and senior management teams to formulate and execute the product strategy
  • Responsible for implementing the full product development lifecycle process, including facilitating business planning, strategic partnerships, collateral, and strategic prospects
  • Establish and manage relationship across GE businesses & sub-businesses, partners and customers and technical expert's levels across industries and geographies
  • Establish strong working relationship with account managers, technical sales and user/developer community
  • Deliver business & technical sales collaterals (such as value proposition, how to sell, RoI analysis, competitive analysis, data sheet, product overview, FAQ, recorded demos, webinars)
  • Responsible for developing go-to-market plans for GE Software solutions
  • Responsible for defining and managing requirements and roadmap for a portfolio of products, and be the product expert
  • Mentor junior product managers on the team
  • About 20-30% of the time to travel within US and globally
Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
  • A minimum of 5 years of product management experience
  • Expertise and a track record of working in the software or cloud data services industry with a preferred minimum of at least 3 years experience
  • A minimum of 8 years of software industry experience with proven track recordEligibility Requirements:
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. GE may agree to sponsor an individual for an employment visa now or in the future if there is a shortage of individuals with particular skills.
  • Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen
  • Must be willing to travel 10%
  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in San Ramon, CA
