Job Description

This Lotus Notes Administrator positions (multiple positions) is contingent upon contract award. Candidate subject to Public Trust suitability screening.

This position is for a seat management contract that will provide our Federal Government customer with all aspects of end user and mobility and PC platform support. The contract is expected to be awarded in early 2017.

The Lotus Notes Administrator will provide support and maintenance for the Lotus Notes Domino system and provide analysis and recommendations to support the migration of users from Notes to Office 365 and the preservation of legacy data that is required for storage and retrieval in accordance with data retention policies, regulations and statutes.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Provide Enterprise level support for 20,000 seat implementation of the IBM Lotus Notes/Domino environment in both a centralized server configuration and a distributed architecture.
  • Provide long range planning and implementation of server upgrades, patches, certificates, and replication and configuration changes in a high availability Lotus Notes/Domino environment.
  • Understanding of mail routing for legacy Lotus Notes/Domino applications.
  • Working knowledge of Domino Applications and database structures.
  • Manage, administer, upgrade, support, configure, analyze performance, and implement improvements in Lotus Notes system.
  • Provide Tier 2 telephone and email support for government administrators
  • Ensure compliance with government archiving and retention requirements and policies.
  • Provide continued support of migration period that encompasses the migration of Lotus Notes legacy email to Office 365 and the migration of applications to SharePoint.
  • Support the Help Desk in its ability to support end users and administrators to create, manage, and support new Notes user accounts
  • Monitor the Notes environment using existing automated tools and provide escalations and analysis reports as required
  • Escalate and address issues as appropriate based on such data and from monitoring tools and user support requests.
  • Manage Lotus Notes applications environment for internal and external access.
  • Perform routine Domino application maintenance on all Lotus Notes servers monthly to maintain a high level of database optimization.
  • Install, test, patch, and maintain system software for Lotus Domino on all systems Manage outages, scheduled and unscheduled as required
  • Manage Lotus Notes application server environment
  • Provide Tier 2 telephone and email support for government administrators
  • Ensure compliance with government archiving and retention requirements and policies.
  • Provide continued support of migration period that encompasses the migration of Lotus Notes legacy email to Office 365 and the migration of applications to SharePoint.
