This position will draft the SCC Threat Notification Reports, which include emergency and regulatory internal and external notifications of security incidents or events that occur at company critical site locations. (PowerStation, LNG's, Gas Pipeline Sites and Substations, including all National Grid facilities. This position entails shift work which can result in assignment to day, evening and overnight shifts.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Daily administrative reports and review process.
- Instructing staff regarding the proper procedures and protocols.
- Assisting with SCC operational telephonic and email communications.
- Testing of camera's and alarm systems, providing badging ID card support.
- Provide leadership in reaching SCC mission goals and objectives.
- Ensure that all regulatory procedures are being adhered to routinely.
- Provide daily hands-on training and guidance to SCC staff
Knowledge & Experience Required:
- Five years control center experience is required or an associate's degree in a related field of study. Preference will be given to individuals with prior law enforcement and/or military experience.
- Strong computer skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft office products, familiarity with standard security communication protocols and equipment, and a demonstrated ability to perform multiple tasks in a challenging or crisis environment, while making sound and practical decisions.
- It is essential that the candidate be highly motivated and able to function efficiently in a minimally supervised environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
- The ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality towards all security related matters.
- Experience in the field of law enforcement and or security management, electronics with strong operational knowledge of technical security systems such as AMAG security access control systems, badging ID card procedures and associated technology, video surveillance systems, intrusion detection systems, panic alarm systems, fire alarm monitoring systems and all associated user hardware of those systems.
Job Dimensions:
- Direct- First line of supervision providing direction to SCC personnel during emergency events and daily administrative and security related responsibilities. This position has no budget oversight duties, but does require security contractor's supervision and direction.
Main Interfaces:
- Internal: All company Electric and Gas control centers supervisors ex: , GSO, TCC, Critical Site FSO's, Facilities Management, LOB's regarding security related matters.
- External: Local, state and federal law enforcement and regulatory agencies regarding security related events.
