Description
The Production Scheduler will provide direction and assistance to work group in order to meet assigned objectives. In this role, you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short term planning.
Essential Responsibilities:
In the role of Production Scheduler you will:
- Develop production schedule to meet customer demands, drive material requirements, and proactively set levels of manufacturing output
- Communicate across multiple departments to effectively coordinate operations between manufacturing production and sales
- Work with Inventory Planners offsite to ensure deliveries meet customers' expectations
- Print load letters for weekly deliveries
- Coordinate with Lead Operators to convert planned orders to process orders
- Review the SAP report and coordinate with Customer Service to ensure customers'expectations are met with respect to package and bulk orders
- Create weekly metric charts and focus on metrics in order to meet delivery performance targets
- Coordinate with Material Planner and Lead Operators to ensure appropriate raw material is instock; minimize QC hold, blend off, and return material
- Support commercial team in quoting and managing of parts
- Manage daily and long range scheduling while maintaining productivity cost controls
Requirements
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (OR High school diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution and minimum of 4 years of experience in production scheduling)

- Understanding of DOT and HOS rules with respect to Delivery Shipments

- Ability to coordinate workflow through the production cell
- Ability to work directly with vendors and suppliers to obtain services or products in expectedtime frame
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
