Description
In this role you will be responsible for objectives in the raw material production of coated SiC fiber and pre-preg tape for the CMC operations. You will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues, be involved in long-term planning and contribute to the overall business strategy.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and technical direction to a large team for a specific program / project with significant business impact
  • Establish a plan / program, define objective, and identify resources and funding source
  • Manage the program / project, provide interim reports to customer, modify plan as required
  • Provide counsel to team on design practices and standards
  • Communicate with the customer or program manager to assure a quality product is delivered
  • Support and lead innovative equipment improvement projects to reduce unplanned equipment downtime and to improve equipment metrics such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness and Cost Reduction
  • Pro-active in taking ownership on the CVD system health, troubleshooting and able to optimize and improve CVD system & tools for operational efficiency
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading multi-disciplined engineering teamsEligibility Requirements:This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment

Desired Characteristics

  • MS or advanced degree in engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in fiber handling related industry and/or CVD coatings
  • Ability to guide and lead others not in a direct reporting relationship
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated program management ability
