Description
Senior-level Electronics/FPGA Engineer responsible for electronics and FPGA design, implementation and support in Thermal Imaging development. We are looking for a candidate that has strong analytical and problem solving skills; is detail oriented and prioritizes effectively. The position requires someone that thinks independently but works well within the parameters of the project. It is important that the candidate be a strong team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Reports to: Chief Technologist
Responsibilities:
- Implement image processing pipeline in FPGA fabric for a new Thermal Imaging project
- Review requirements; work on architecture and design details for FPGA and processor implementations
- Select existing IP blocks that can be used and write own IP blocks where needed
- Create correct design constrains to avoid timing issues for each block and for the complete design
- Work closely together with firmware engineer on interfacing and system debugging
- Support overall electronics design of the system
- Document design
- Present and discuss design with team
Requirements
Qualifications:
Required
- 8-10+ years of experience working in a development role
- Verilog/VHDL
- Vivado and Xilinx SDK
- Xilinx ZYNQ family
- Existing IP blocks from Xilinx
- Creation of IP blocks, design methodology and architecture
- AXI-Bus interfaces and their FPGA implementation
- Ethernet communication
- Signal Processing
Desired
- Communication protocols
- ANSI C and programming of embedded systems
- Microsoft Visual Studio and C++ or C#
- OrCad Capture
- Video or Imaging algorithms.
- Infrared Absorbance based measurement product
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electronics or other related field
- Master's Degree Electronics or other related fields is a plus
