Description
Assist the Plant staff in projects and tasks as assigned.
Essential Job Functions
- Assists in updating plant mechanical, electrical and electronic drawings
- Assist in outages planning and coordinating contractor activities
- Assist in the preparing and submitting of periodic reports for environmental, government, or Cooperative Energy management
- Assist in the development and preparation of engineering drawings for final drafting.
- Assist in the development and preparation of design specifications and contract documents for equipment and material purchases and construction.
- Assist in the development and preparation of engineering studies.
- Assist in researching and ordering parts and equipment and performing testing of equipment
- Researches preventive maintenance and lubrication procedures and implements as necessary
- Assist in the removal of old test and shop equipment and warehouse items no longer needed due to equipment upgrades
- Assist in developing training manual and participates in operator training
- Perform various computer assignments including:
- Create presentations, reports, documents, etc. using Microsoft Office applications;
- Enter information into databases;
- Research data for entry into databases
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Requirements
Education and Experience
- Undergraduate student who is a chemical, mechanical or electrical engineering major and has completed a minimum of two (2) semesters of college level
- Minimum GPA: 2.50 (4.0=A)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required
- Knowledge and skilled in the use of personal computer applications including Excel spreadsheets, and Microsoft Word processing.
- Valid Mississippi driver's license
- Must successfully complete a driver's license background check
