Description

The Texas City OXO production facility has an exciting opportunity for an Operating Discipline Management System (ODMS) Coordinator. This position is located in Texas City, Texas.

Job Summary:

The ODMS Coordinator will ensure the successful utilization of the Operating Discipline Management Systems, including Web EDMS, Web MOC, EATool, etc. The ODMS Coordinator role ensures that the ODMS is effectively implemented, utilized and maintained and value creation is maximized within the department.

Responsibilities:

  • Obtains support from department / plant leadership and business / function / site ODMS leadership for the plant / department implementation plan.
  • Leads overall ODMS "implement" and "maintain" efforts for the department / plant.
  • Coordinates and works with other ODMS support and implementation roles to "implement" and "maintain" the ODMS.
  • Leads department/plant ODMS self-assessment.
  • Act as the organization subject matter expert for the overall management system.
  • Drives the Plan DO Check Act cycle of continuous improvement for their organization
  • Helps Element Focal Points identify and prioritizes opportunities at the plant / department level.
  • Works with Business/Function/Site Leadership to identify organization level opportunities.
  • Defines resources needed to ensure the management system brings value to the organization.
  • Assists the department /plant Leadership in the identification and assignment of department / plant Element Focal Points.
  • Leads the Management System Review process for their organization.
  • Measures and tracks management system performance (i.e. reduction of unplanned events)
  • Leads implementation of ODMS changes at plant / department level.
  • Coordinates ongoing department/plant efforts to maintain the ODMS system, reduce unplanned events and maximize value from ODMS use.
  • Participates in Business/Function/Site ODMS networks to improve management systems 

The job has a standard 5 day per week work or Alternate Friday off schedule.

  • Have a high regard for personal safety and the safety of others.
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of previous experience in an ODMS Coordinator role.
  • 5 years of chemical/petrochemical experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, and have the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Associate or higher degree in related field,  or four (4) or more years of military training/experience, is preferred.

Education:

  • A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent is required.
