SEL is seeking an individual to support/lead metering and energy management systems sales. This sales engineer/manager needs to have technical experience developing and delivering complex metering systems using multiple vendors' solutions. A successful candidate will have at least five years' experience building and delivering metering systems. In depth knowledge of metrology, communications, and database management are all required skills. This individual will have a wide range of autonomy and flexibility in order to meet sales goals while developing meter sales channels and supporting integration teams.

This position can be located in one of the following SEL offices across the US: Pullman, WA, Boise, ID, Lakewood, CO, Irvine, CA, King of Prussia, PA, Dothan AL, or Charlotte, NC.

Job Functions:

  • Meet personal sales goals by identifying and winning metering projects.
  • Prepare technical quotations and bids for large metering projects.
  • Assist regional sales teams as a company expert in energy and power quality metering systems.
  • Demonstrate integrated metering systems to end-users and channel partners.
  • Develop new sales channels and expand existing ones to increase worldwide metering sales.
  • Teach revenue and power quality metering fundamentals and applications to end-users and channel partners.
  • Plan, organize and conduct customer visits, seminars and training.
  • Provide technical and market analysis to evaluate meter system product enhancements.
  • Present papers on metering innovations at industry technical meetings and conferences.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years' experience developing and delivering enterprise-wide metering systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, build, and deliver complex metering systems.
  • Experience integrating large data sets across multiple databases into energy management systems.
  • Knowledge of medium and low-voltage electrical systems.
