We are looking for an OBIEE Developer to join our Business Intelligence Solutions Team to support the development and maintenance of our Oracle DW/BI application running on Exadata and Exalogic servers.

Your Duties

Problem Solving

  • Work with Business Analysts, BI Team, and other systems analysts to analyze business requirements; and translate them into Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence (DW/BI) solutions;

  • Consult on BI capabilities and recommended solutions to address business needs; and

  • Extend the Data Warehouse with data from new sources, applying: data lineage analysis; PL/SQL schema DDL design; and OBIEE business model and content development.

Technical

  • Design, develop, and implementation of DW/BI solutions using: Oracle Data Warehouse Data Model, OBIEE RPD business models, and OBIEE dashboards;

  • Define, design, document and implement required customizations and extensions to existing models. Analyze impact on DW/BI application before making any changes to the system;

  • Understand project requirements, create functional and technical documentation;

  • Implement and provide support for user and group access permissions to maintain the security of the DW/BI application; and

  • Perform peer design and code review.

Communication

  • Effectively communicate highly technical information to functional, technical team members and management;

  • Communicate issues and solutions in a clear and concise manner; and

  • Keep clients, peers and managers informed on progress and the status of issues.

Dynamic Work Environment

  • Prepare time estimates for assigned projects and tasks;

  • Prioritize development and enhancement requests;

  • Given the tasks and scope of a project, successfully complete and document the project within the specified time frame and keep stakeholders informed of changes to plans; and

  • Ability to work with multiple projects simultaneously in a priority driven environment.

Interpersonal Interaction

  • Interact with end user, peers, help desk, and management personnel to resolve issues;

  • Effective in interacting with users when designing, documenting, completing, and testing assignments; and

  • Maintain a positive attitude when dealing with others in a pressured environment.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

Required

  • 5+ years of database and application development experience using formal software development life cycle;

  • At least 2 years of experience in designing, developing and implementing an enterprise DW/BI system using OBIEE; and

  • The ideal candidate has demonstrated the ability to work with professionalism and confidentiality, and is able to work independently, multi-task and adapt to change in a very dynamic environment.

Optional

  • Experience with at least one OBIA Analytics module (Finance/Projects/HR);

  • Experience with OBIA architecture and pre-built data models;

  • Experience with ODI;

  • Proficient with Windows or Linux command line;

  • Knowledge of EBS application modules (Oracle Projects, HRMS, GL, FA, AP, AR, PO, etc.) and their integration into the overall Oracle suite;

  • Knowledge of ITIL v3 (IT Infrastructure Library); and

  • Experience with Exadata and/or Exalogic

Please note that this position will require after-hours and on-call work.
