YOUR OPPORTUNITY:
Our team of Asset Integrity Technologists and Engineers implement a wide variety of inspection, repair, risk assessment, and corrosion management technologies to ensure our Asset Integrity Programs are executed with optimal effectiveness. These roles interface closely with Safety, Engineering, and Operations groups while gaining exposure to all technical elements of Asset Integrity for pipelines, pressure equipment, tanks, and structural components. The chance to deal with a wide variety of assets for the full life-cycle from design and commissioning through to close-down, and decommissioning means utilizing and developing your expertise across a broad range of processes, workflows and technologies.

The primary focus of the integrity technologist will be to manage the integrity program and to ensure operations staff utilize Canadian Natural's best practices in terms of vessel integrity. The role will require knowledge of regulatory standards and involve coordinating inspection crews during vessel repairs and Turnaround activities.

This position is based in Cold Lake, Alberta and is eligible for:

  • Relocation to Cold Lake or Bonnyville

HOW WILL YOU MAKE YOUR MARK?

  • Work with area operations staff to optimize maintenance activities in accordance with Canadian Natural's Owner User Program (OUP)
  • Develop and maintain maintenance schedules to aid in annual budgeting
  • Co-ordinate maintenance activities, including repair procedures to minimize downtime
  • Reconcile and update Canadian Natural's equipment inventory database using MAXITRAK
  • Work with vendors to ensure reporting is accurate and timely
  • Coordinate and participate in risk based inspections (RBI's) to optimize inspection intervals
  • Generate Authorizations for Expenditure (AFEs) within area of responsibility
  • Attend Corporate Integrity Network Meetings
  • Manage crews for PSV repair and maintenance leading up to and including turnarounds
  • Manage tank inventories and coordinate tank testing
  • Liaise with regulators

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Typically 5+ years of related integrity oil and gas industry experience with a relevant technical diploma
  • API 510, National Board (NB), PESL Certification would be considered an asset 
  • Familiarity with and understanding of:
    • Microsoft Office suite, Accumap and/or GeoVista
