Our Company is currently seeking a self-motivated, hardworking Mechanical Designer to join our Edmonton office, our Toronto office and Vancouver office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to gain valuable hands-on work experience in a dynamic, team-based working environment.
Position: Mechanical Designer
Location: Edmonton, Alberta; Toronto, Ontario; Vancouver, British Colombia; Winnipeg, Manitoba
Responsibilities: The Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Design of mechanical HVAC, plumbing and fire protection in healthcare, hospitality, residential (high-rise), commercial and industrial building applications
- Implement the design concept through the preparation and production of drawings and schematics of mechanical systems for healthcare, hospitality, commercial, institutional, residential, public and private facilities
- Coordinate with other consulting disciplines to ensure drawing integrity and completeness
- Work with project team and Project Manager to ensure on-time project completion
- Review other discipline drawings (structural, architectural, landscape, civil-external)
- Work with contractors and provide technical and administrative support through all phases of the project
- Coordinate with internal production teams and reconcile project drawings
- Overtime as required
