The Mechanical Drives Business Unit offers the most comprehensive and complete drive train solutions in the industry. Our line of Flender gear reducers and couplings is known for its quality and reliability for a wide range of applications in mining, cement, metals, paper, petrochemical and others industries.

Responsibilities:

  • As a Sales Specialist you will be responsible for selling built to order products to equipment manufacturers, consulting and engineering firms, as well as some end users in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia markets.
  • In collaboration with the Business Unit and the Sales Regions you will responsible for selling of electro-mechanical built to order products in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia 
  • In collaboration with the Business Unit and the Sales Regions manage all aspects of the assigned accounts
  • Identify and develop new opportunities to grow the customer base 
  • Meet and exceed the sales and profitability targets 
  • Track business activities and maintain customer information in a CRM 
  • Prepare quotations based on customer specifications 
  • Support handling of customer complaints 
  • Develop in-depth product and service knowledge through self-education and assigned trainings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree or Technical Diploma in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience 
  • 5 years of industrial sales experience in material handling/mining/oil and gas/chemicals etc. 
  • Working knowledge of the drive train components (motors, gear units and couplings) is a definite asset
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills 
  • Working knowledge of project management is an asset 
  • Proficient with MS-Office suite 
  • Working knowledge of CRM applications; SAP Oracle or others 
  • Available to travel within the assigned territory on a regular basis minimum 50% of time
