Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the HR Manager in this role you will work as an HR business partner who will be supporting the business objectives through implementing human resources programs and strategies 
  • Responsible for responding to inquiries on a wide range of human resources initiatives including. but not limited to: Recruitment, Employee Relations, Performance Management and HR 
  • Administration: Support the day to day HR operational activities within assigned client groups 
  • Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies procedures and programs 
  • Produce regular as well as ad-hoc reports to analyze and identify trends for client groups that contribute to overall targets and objectives 
  • Provide recommendations feedback and improvement suggestions for HR policies, procedures and programs that positively affect the employment experience of Siemens Canada employees 
  • Work in collaboration with HR colleagues across the country in the implementation of HR initiatives as directed by the people strategies of the specific Business Unit or Siemens Canada 
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and employment legislation in order to effectively coach, counsel and provide professional advice to client groups

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Degree preferably in Commerce with a major in Human Resources or a Business Administration diploma major in Human Resources, Human Resources Management Certificate Completed or in Progress 
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in Human Resources 
  • Ability to assert ideas and influence others as it pertains to HR issues and programs 
  • Strong organization, active listening and multitasking skills 
  • The successful candidate must have the ability to identify areas of development, create an action plan and deliver results 
  • Must be able to develop strong relationships with the internal clients, gain credibility and be viewed as a value-add business partner
