Description
Manager Human Resources BNI Energy located in Bismarck, ND is seeking a Manager of Human Resources (Manager HR). BNI Energy is a subsidiary of ALLETE Inc., a diversified energy and water company headquartered in Duluth MN. As a member of the BNI Senior Executive team, the Manager HR will report to the President and General Manager. The Manager HR partners with Company leadership, employees and other organization human resource professionals on human resource related issues while ensuring alignment with the organization's shared purpose, values and goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Manager HR will have responsibility for:
- developing strategy;
- implementing and directing employee and labor relations functions;
- programs;
- policies and procedures;
- recruiting & onboarding;
- benefit administration;
- compensation administration;
- training;
- labor law;
- COBRA compliance.
- Some travel is required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree with seven years of related experience required with strong leadership and interpersonal skills demonstrated;
OR
- Associate's Degree with eleven years of related experience required with strong leadership and interpersonal skills demonstrated.
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- A degree or course work in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or related field.
- A working knowledge of recruitment, compensation, benefits, employee and union relations.
- Human resources certification (PHR, SPHR, etc.).
