Major Job Elements
- Estimate construction work, which may include performing takeoff calculations, soliciting subcontractor bids, quantifying labor hours, etc.
- Ensure field project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support overall construction schedule.
- Provide technical support for construction, including participation in construction planning.
- Interface with on-site construction crews as required ensuring safety is maintained, quality of construction, adherence to overall project schedule, and tracking productivity goals.
- Participate in and perform safety audits and ensure proper housekeeping, storage, and work practices are adhered to.
- Maintain all necessary records related to construction or engineering activity.
- Identify issues requiring PM attention; responsible for ongoing communication with the Superintendent and Upper Management delivering timely identification of issues, pending or actual changes to the work performed that may impact costs, schedule, contract or customer relationship.
- Ensure assigned subcontractors activities are performed in accordance with the Purchase Order/ Contract.
- Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate and use the H&M Project Management Methodology to deliver the RFP to the customer.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering/Construction Management preferred.
- Previous experiece in Telecommunication project management.
- In lieu of college degree 2 plus years construction estimating/project management/engineering.
- Must have computer skills in MS. Project or Primavera,Bid 2 Win, Microsoft Office and/or related software.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship for a work visa.
