Candidates should be knowledgeable of OSHA guidelines and have good written and oral communication skills. All candidates should have experience and knowledge of distribution and transmission construction techniques.
Specific Duties:
- Experience in climbing wood poles, lattice structures and steel mono pole structures.
- Knowledge in framing
- Experience in spotting, framing, setting, erecting structures.
- Experience in stringing, clipping, dead-ending and sagging conductor.
- Able to operate Bucket Truck, Digger Derek, Back-hoe, Production digger, Tensioner, and Rope puller etc.
- Possess a Valid CDL license with excellent driving record
- Responsible for following all cooperative safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program
- High School diploma
- Must have an interest in a program of self-development and be willing to accept increasingresponsibility as a team member of a line crew
- Possess a Valid CDL license with excellent driving record
- Must be dependable and have good record of attendance and punctuality.
- NCCCO Crane Certificate highly desirable.
Physical requirements and environment:
Duties include sustaining awkward positions/postures, including bending and twisting at the waist and neck; reaching forward, to the side, across the body and overhead, hanging with or without a bucket for long periods of time. Able to lift minimum of 50lbs. Environmental conditions: Exposure to daily weather conditions, rugged terrain, and un-level ground.
Construction site environment includes early stage permitting, development and auditing through finished roads and features. Extensive travel with driving to remote sites along with office work in field conditions is also included.
