Position Overview

The Senior Resource Planning Analyst performs a variety of capacity planning and performance analysis under the direction of the Sr. Manager of Resource Planning & Performance. The senior analyst will analyze staffing needs based on new initiative implementations, historical service levels, projected attrition, and other operational variables. The senior analyst will conduct analysis and build/manage complex staffing models, and run scenarios to build a 5-year forecast that will be utilized for GRC and the 5-year OU Plans.

Working in collaboration with Resource Management Lead and Resource Planners, the Sr. Analyst will make daily decisions regarding timing/approach of staffing tasks.  Recommends and may consult supervisor/manager and organizational management regarding hiring processes, channels and optimization approaches.  This role will interact closely with the Resource Planning Senior Project Manager, Operational Managers, Data Access, HR and Training areas to maintain and advance Resource Planning efforts. The senior analyst may apply previous high volume hiring or staffing experience and judgment to operate independently, and identify operational and forecast improvements opportunities to insure Capacity Plans and the business are operating optimally.

The Sr. Analyst will be responsible for providing advice and recommendations impacting on staffing, operations, and the Company.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Conduct analysis and help build models and scenarios for the 5-year OU Plan, GRC, Operational Capacity Plans, and regulatory filings utilizing:

    • Historical staffing levels to determine attrition

    • New initiative implementations or sourcing level changes

    • Historical service levels

    • Employee Performance

  • Provide projected hiring recommendations to CSOD VP, Directors, and Organizational Leaders to determine staffing levels for both SCE and vendors in order to achieve service level and customer satisfaction goals

  • Conduct analysis of staffing duties and areas including providing hiring and onboarding support to CSOD.  The analyst will own projects and tasks which require on-time delivery of work involving multiple internal and external departments

  • Continually monitor onboarding logistics processes and identify/suggest process improvements.  May serve as back-up to the Staffing Coordinator as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Four years of experience with business analysis involving identification of complex problems and arriving at solutions rooted in information 

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Management, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance or related field

  • PMI/Business Analyst Certification

  • Experience developing presentations that synthesize complex information into concise messages

  • Six Sigma LEAN Green/Black Belt
