Description
Position has responsibility for 11 Service Centers to include: Hall County, Cumming, Gwinnett, Peachtree, Marietta, Cherokee, Carrollton, Newnan, Clayton, Conyers, Atlanta. The reporting location for the position can be any of the 11 Service Centers listed.

Basic Function:

Instructs, performs, and assesses the activities of Automated Meter Reading (AMR) and field related work including the installation, change, replacement, inspection, and programming of residential and commercial ERTs. Coaches and provides guidance to field meter reading personnel to meet commitments and ensure quality. Performs AMR field work as needed to supplement supply gaps. Provides support to all of Southern Operations for any AMR related work.

Representative Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Schedule work, resources, and materials management

  • Review all CLICK meter reading work orders (inside and outside the department)

  • Review non-completed orders to prevent estimates (inside and outside the department)

  • Review all automated meter reading routes in FCS (inside and outside the department)

  • Review No Bill and Estimate Report

  • Complete Work Queues - Meter in Wrong Route and ERT Required on Meter

  • Review all completed routes and contact properties when not uploaded

  • Review completed orders for accuracy (inside and outside the department)

  • Perform AMR field work as needed to supplement supply gaps

  • Perform Field Observations, Premises visit of orders, and employee assistance

  • Travel across service center boundaries to meet with, assist, and train employees

  • Monitor CLICK orders throughout the day

  • Track and help improve employee performance

  • Perform investigations related to MVA and OJIs

  • Provide input to supervisor regarding employee performance (field audits for compliance and quality of service)

  • Perform safety audits

  • Oversee and administer OQ training and testing, as well as other compliance training

  • Itron Management

  • Manage ERT Inventory

  • Resolve customer issues - customer complaints and inquiries.

  • Guides and coaches employees to achieve performance objectives.

  • Follow and reinforce organizational policies and procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned Education and Experience: Required: High school diploma or GED 2 -3 years experience in Field OperationsPreferred: 2-3 years experience reading meters Or Equivalent academic education and experience Skills: Required:

  • First line supervisory skills including good written and oral communication.

  • The ability to use good judgment when working in potentially hazardous and emergency environments.

  • MS Word, Excel - intermediate level proficiency

  • Proficient with FCS, CLICK, GCMA, MHS, and FC300 Handheld

  • Clear understanding of Meter Reading Billing Window

  • Clear understanding of PCOMP and Commercial 5-Dial meters

  • Computer literate

  • Customer service Certifications/Licenses: State driver's license AGLR Success Factors: Executing for Results Collaboration and Building RelationshipsLearning and Thinking Industry Knowledge/Business AcumenHonoring Corporate Values & Standards Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit and drive for an extended period, physically able to stoop, bend, kneel, crawl, walk, climb ladders, and lift weights at a minimum of 20 pounds unassisted. Must be able to regularly use hand tools, such as screwdrivers. Must also have keen senses of smell, hearing, vision and color identification. Ability to work in all types of terrain, around animals, and weather conditions is required.
