Summary
Peoples Gas, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Operations Apprentice (Temporary) in our Chicago, IL location. The principal duties involve working with business units, contractors and suppliers to define, schedule and provide resources to meet their material and service requirements. This will be a one year assignment with the option to hire full time (Material Handler) if the candidates meet or exceed expectations during assignment period.
Responsibilities:
Perform Materials Management tasks including receiving, order picking and management, cycle counting, and inventory management.
Perform transactional data entry into Materials Management Software Systems
Operate all Materials Management material handling equipment
Follow all company policies, work procedures and safety rules.
Operate all warehouse cleaning equipment.
Perform other tasks as assigned and allowed by contract.
Minimum Qualifications:
1 year of materials management experience including computer operation and data entry skills
Valid Drivers License
Preferred Qualifications:
High School Diploma, HSED, or GED
Experience using forklift or material handling equipment
