About The Position
The Instructional Media Developer is responsible for development of multimedia content utilized by the training department.
Key responsibilities include:
·Partner with the Instructional Design team to brainstorm and implement highly interactive and engaging online course content.·Develop visual content, such as graphics, videos, charts, animations, illustrations, user interfaces, and printed learning materials based on individual storyboards and instructional design plans.
·Assist with the creation and development of online training courses and resource materials.
·Lead multimedia production initiatives (e.g., eLearning videos, online scenarios, and any other highly interactive course content); create and edit content using various Adobe Suite software.
·Create interactive branching scenarios with gaming components for online training.
·Explore AR technology and software for classroom, office and field delivery.
·Develop engaging and complex multimedia training for diverse audiences using established development model.
·Synthesize training requirements into effective, visually compelling and informative presentations.
- Research, evaluate and resolve technical issues pertaining to training content when necessary.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in relevant field (e.g., communication, film, instructional design, graphic design, education, etc.) from an accredited college or university required. Three or more years relevant media development experience required. Seven or more years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Working knowledge of adult learning and instructional design principles, including eLearning required. Experience in designing media rich activities that may include video, audio, infographics, or other engaging elements for adult learning.
In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
Proficiency with common business, instructional design for eLearning training, and Learning Management System software. Proficiency with Articulate SL3/360 or equivalent, Microsoft Office 365, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Experience in video editing and production, photography, audio recording, graphic design or motion graphics, web development (HTML), and JavaScript preferred. Possesses a continuous learning mindset towards technology and finding new ways to improve the learner experience. Experience with motion graphic animation, 3D animation and /or AR/VR tools preferred. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects. Ability to work with tight deadlines required.
