About the Opportunity

This is an open position with the FirstEnergy Service Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corporation.

This position will report to the Supervisor, Talent Acquisition.

The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.  This option is not available in the states of California, Colorado, Illinois, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Montana, Nebraska, New York, Oregon or Washington at this time.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing a variety of complex reporting assignments requiring initiative, judgment and well-developed knowledge and skills.
  • Create and implement recruiting related metrics that provide insight into performance e.g. Time to Fill, Quality of Hire, Sourcing Channel Effectiveness etc.
  • Analyzing a wide range of data from numerous sources to draw conclusions and produce regular reports to leadership focusing on candidate, employee, DEI and recruiting metrics.
  • Utilizing the TalentNeuron tool to produce and analyze labor market availability reports for all external job postings across the Talent Acquisition team to assess labor market availability in support of our hiring process diversity guidelines.
  • Sending out various communications on behalf of the Talent Acquisition team, as needed.
  • Delivering on ad hoc reporting requests for Talent Acquisition leadership from the Applicant Tracking System and contingent labor management tool.
  • Conducting analysis on reports and interpreting and reporting out on results.
  • Manage the FirstEnergy employee relocation benefit including initiating employee and new hire relocation benefits with the company's relocation management partner.
  • Serving as central point of contact for receiving approved staffing authorization and hiring process exception forms, compiling them, and developing the bi-monthly report out for Executive Council.
  • Utilizing the company's Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to manage various stages of the recruiting process.
  • Maintaining a high degree of confidentiality on projects which may include sensitive employee/candidate-related information.
  • Taking initiative to solve problems and bring issues to closure.
  • Demonstrating a willingness to question established procedures and processes.
  • Demonstrating sound internal and external customer service.
  • Consistently anticipating and delivering results.
  • Proactively working to ensure knowledge is transferred to others.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline and a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience is required.
  • In lieu of Bachelor's degree (preferred), minimum 7 years relevant work experience required.
  • Relevant work experience includes in-depth experience producing reports out of various business systems and databases, analyzing the data, drawing conclusions based on the data, and reporting out results
  • Strong organizational and follow up skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems. Experience with the SuccessFactors and/or Oracle ATS' preferred
  • Excellent presentation skills to highlight FirstEnergy values, mission, strengths, and opportunities
  • Broad knowledge of Employment Laws and HR Policies
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
  • Possess strong team building skills and be a positive contributor in a team environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and internet research.  Knowledge of SAP highly preferred.
  • Able to work independently with a high level of professionalism and motivation.
  • Able to maintain composure in a high-volume, fast paced environment.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage strong relationships with a broad range of individuals at various levels of the organization.
  • Available to work before and after standard office hours as work requires.
  • Able to travel to attend career events and conferences when necessary.
