B&W's BrightLoop<sup>TM</sup> technology team is currently seeking a highly skilled and entrepreneurial professional to join our team and drive our expansion in the hydrogen market. As a key member, you will be responsible for spearheading the accurate and competitive development, strategy submission and negotiation of proposals for the construction of new hydrogen facilities globally. This role necessitates cross-functional expertise in energy, financing, and deal negotiation, enabling you to effectively navigate complex challenges and capitalize on emerging opportunities in the hydrogen sector.

  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of hydrogen production technologies, including electrolysis, steam methane reforming (SMR), and other relevant processes. Familiarity with hydrogen storage, transportation and distribution systems.
  • Strategic Development: Ability to formulate and implement strategic plans for the development of commercial-scale hydrogen facilities. Experience in assessing project feasibility, conducting market analysis, and identifying potential partners and investors. Will lead the development of projects including site selection, feedstock availability, offtake agreements, as well as the selection of project execution partners (EPC team) and facility operator as required.
  • Proposal Development: Proficiency in preparing comprehensive and competitive project proposals, including detailed financial models, technical specifications, and risk assessments. Strong analytical skills to assess project viability and profitability.
  • Negotiation and Relationship Management: Proven ability to engage in negotiations with stakeholders, including government agencies, regulatory bodies, financing institutions, suppliers, and contractors. Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining effective relationships.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong aptitude for working collaboratively across different departments and teams. Ability to collaborate with engineering, finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure seamless project development and execution.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the hydrogen market, including emerging trends, regulations, and policy landscape. Awareness of environmental sustainability goals and the role of hydrogen in decarbonization efforts.
  • Leadership and Accountability: Capacity to take ownership of projects and drive them to successful completion. Strong leadership skills to manage a team, provide guidance, and ensure project milestones are met.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to effectively present project proposals, engage with stakeholders, and represent the company in industry events and conferences.
  • Reporting: Ability to provide regular updates and reports to the Project Manager, including project status, budget updates, risks, and opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or a related field. Or entrepreneurial / project development experience for 10+ years
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
  • Knowledge of product development methodologies and processes.
  • Familiarity with market research and competitive analysis.
  • Familiarity with financial models.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Technical knowledge relevant to the product domain.
  • Proficiency in product management tools and software
