If the answer is yes, don't look any further! We're looking for someone to bring new ideas and leadership to our Project Management Office (PMO). As the Information Services Application Portfolio Lead, you will be responsible for providing portfolio and project management support to the PMO, project managers and teams.
In this role, you will:
- Build relationships with different areas of the business to support their strategic objectives
- Provide support and expertise to the IS PMO at a project and portfolio level
- Ensure that PMO methodology and governance is followed on all projects
- Create and/or update processes to help build a stronger PMO
- Mentor the Junior Project Managers
- On-board and manage Application Project Managers. This includes completing regular one on ones, reviewing time entry, etc.
In year 1, you will:
- Gain an understanding of our PMO governance and processes
- Mentor junior project managers
- Support project managers in daily tasks such as keeping on top of financials and risk planning.
- Manage and motivate the PMO team to help achieve strategic goals
- Execute on short-term goals and objectives for the IS PMO
- Help develop and deliver action oriented reporting for all levels of key stakeholders
In year 2, you will:
- Continue to support the improvement of PMO governance and processes
- Continue with short-term goals and objectives
- Help develop and deliver action oriented reporting for all levels of key stakeholders
What it takes:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience and a minimum of five years of project management or directly related experience with leading large projects through various phases.
- Minimum of three years of portfolio management or directly related experience.
