ABOUT THE ROLE
TransAlta is Hiring Wind Technician Interns in Ontario, Quebec and Alberta!
No Wind experience or specific trade required.
TransAlta is providing internal technical & safety trainings.
TransAlta is offering a safe work environment, extensive training, a competitive salary and an opportunity to secure a position as a Wind Technician.
Wind Technician Intern positions are a 6-month term to experience and learn about the Wind Technician position. The position will be located in Melancthon, Ontario.
Scholarship is available to successful candidates that are currently studying in Wind Turbine Preventive Maintenance, Electrical, Mechanical or Blade Repairs programs.
Opportunity to extend the position to a longer term.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
The Technician role is to maintain and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical controllers to operate and maintain wind turbines.
There is opportunity to work on different type of platforms; Siemens, Vestas, GE, Nordex and NEG Micon.
QUALIFICATIONS
No Wind experience or specific trade required.
Technical and Safety paid trainings provided by the employer.
