Description
Minnkota Power is seeking qualified applicants for an Engineering Technician located at our headquarters in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Job Responsibilities include:
- Computer aided drafting and design
- Drafting and design of civil grading plans, electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, and 3D physical substation drawings
- Provide efficient plotting and preparation of project packages
- Develop customization of AutoCAD program
- Storage and filing of technical records
- Maintain and update project hard copy files
- Scan and add incoming hardcopy or electronic technical documents to the document management database
- Retrieve requested drawings and technical informationUpkeep of document management database - formatting of documents and maintenance of archives
- Project management and inspections
- Assist project managers with recordkeeping, project cost updates, and project progress
- Help maintain project schedules using project management software
- Partner with engineering staff for design and testing of functions
- Provide on-site inspections as needed

Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Training
- Associate's degree in Architectural Drafting, 3D design, or a related technical field; required
Experience
- Strong knowledge/competency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Inventor, and Revit preferred
- No previous professional experience required - interested candidates with a willingness to work hard are encouraged to apply as extensive on the job training will occur
