Colorado Springs Utilities is seeking three (3) talented professionals to join our team; two focused on customer billing and one specifically in support of our UAT (User Acceptance Test) team performing and supporting testing within the Billing and Business solutions section. As a key member of the Billing unit, you will be responsible for resolving complex billing problems and gathering and evaluating in-depth customer billing consumption history. In addition, you will be identifying trends for customer accounts, resolving and generating complex billing issues as well as analyzing account and financial data for accuracy.

Key Areas of Focus:

  • Resolving complex billing adjustments and corrections by researching, analyzing, evaluating and identifying consumption inconsistencies.

  • Verifying meter readings, (automated & manual) and consumption patterns for complex customer billing issues

  • Participating as SME and/or manage billing-related projects including business processes, writing test scenarios, and conducting testing, determining results

  • Managing assigned billing programs including maintaining up-to-date process documents, ensuring processes are completed, evaluating the effectiveness of the program, and identifying program and process efficiencies.

  • Providing back-up support for resolving customer escalations and providing customer account summaries to leadership

  • Additionally, we are interested in learning about your skills and abilities in the following areas, so please be sure to highlight them on your application/resume:

  • Experience with Business Intelligence and Data Analysis tools including Oracle, Dataraker, InfoMart is preferred

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

  • Experience in Oracle Customer Care and Billing (CC&B) or other billing systems is a plus

The Customer Service Department is currently performing their roles in a hybrid work setting; which is approximately 90% work from home, but may change as business needs necessitate

  • As an Employee, your work from home office requirements:

  • Designated workspace free from noise and other distractions

  • Live in a location that can leverage an existing high-speed internet service

  • The minimum upload speed of 3 Mbps; the minimum download speed of 10 Mbps

  • Computer or router physically connected to the modem by a cable

  • Meet all technical requirements prior to the first day of training

  • Live within reasonable driving distance of the office location and be able to regularly commute to and from the office location as needed

You will be provided with office equipment and hybrid classroom and virtual instruction. However, as circumstances and business needs change, you may be required to work full-time in our office location.
