Spire is seeking a Talent Development Specialist to join our team at our St. Louis headquarters. This role is responsible for creating a best-in-class learning-centered environment for all employees. The specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and ongoing management of learning and development programs and various employee engagement initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities

Deliver high quality, effective learning by creating, designing, executing, and facilitating in-house/ad-hoc developmental training sessions focused on personal, people, and business leadership

Assist in developing assessment and analyses/workshops for such programs as DiSC, Five Behaviors of a Coehsive Team, EQ-i, StrengthsFinder, etc while managing vendors and budget coordination

Develop individualized learning plans and assist with the execution of performance management, including objective setting and assisting employees with developmental goal setting for career growth

Ensure employees are aware of Spire's learning and development opportunities/programs and design ways to optimize its reach

Facilitate Leading Spire Series sessions

Other responsibilities and duties, as needed to supplement the workload of the team

Supervisory Responsibilities

Required Education (certifications, licenses)

Bachelor's Degree required. Concentration in business, human resources, communications, learning, and development, or related field preferred

SPHR, SHRM-SCP, CPTD, or similar certification is preferred
Required knowledge, skill and abilities
-
5+ years of relevant experience in HR, onboarding, Learning and Development, Talent Management, and/or organizational development

Proficiency and skill in the daily use of the Microsoft Office Suite

Strong strategic thinking, consulting, organizational, and project management skills

Experience in the assessment, design, development, and implementation, and evaluation of training programs, including e-learning applications

Excellent written and spoken communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
-
Must demonstrate positive, respectful behavior in dealing with people at all levels, and a role model as a representative of the Company

Outstanding ability to collaborate with teammates, subject matter experts, and various departments when needed on project planning, development, and implementation to ensure high-quality results

Self-motivated with the ability to organize and prioritize work with attention to detail

Aptitude to manage numerous projects simultaneously

Strong initiative and ability to independently lead processes/projects yielding quality results
Physical demands, environment and schedule
- Typically, 8 hours per day, Monday - Friday, approximately 10 - 15% of time traveling to other work locations.
