Position Summary
This position is responsible for performing analysis and developing solutions of complex financial process and technical problems with a focus on improving financial and operational effectiveness and performance. The Financial Analyst will prepare and deliver well-constructed business insights to management, lead teams on select project assignments, and enhance the overall organizational understanding of financial concepts and their impact on business decisions. The ideal candidate is a well-organized self-starter with a passion to optimize the decision making process through rigorous utilization of data.
Primary Responsibilities
- Extract and deliver useful statistics and insight from financial budget and actual data in order to drive and support operational improvements and business strategies.
- Perform most advanced or specialized work requiring comprehensive knowledge of accounting and financial theory and principles.
- Prepare complex financial forecasting models using advanced modeling techniques.
- Responsible for developing high level analyses, recommending courses of action based on data, and presenting to Senior Management.
- Compiles and reviews budgets, taking into consideration actual performance, previous expenditures, and estimated expenses and income. Develops and utilizes the results from planning and financial models.
- Review, identify, analyze, and create detailed documentation of business process and supporting systems.
- May lead special projects or teams.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business with five years analytical/problem solving experience OR Master's degree with two years analytical/problem soloving experience.
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as SAS, Hyperion, Microstrategy, Tableau and Hadoop.
- In-depth knowledge in statistical analysis, economic modeling and data visualization.
- Strong analysis, research and complex problem solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Suite (Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) or other advanced statistical computer applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in business or a quantitative discipline.
- Ability to tell a story from analysis to be able to identify/solve business opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
