We are looking for a talented Current Product Reliability Engineer Technical Specialist to join our team specializing in Quality for our Engine Business Unit in Columbus, IN .
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Applies specialized knowledge of statistical tools and warranty databases to analyze existing component or system reliability, report the reliability per the customer's reporting requirements, and provide interpretation of the results.

Analyzes technical data using descriptive statistics, probability distributions, graphical analysis, and statistical inference (population and sample, confidence intervals, and hypothesis testing); models relationships between response and independent variables using analysis of variance, regression, and design of experiments to make rigorous, data-based decisions.

Provides technical direction for a project or a project team.

Troubleshoots complex problems and recommends appropriate actions.

Responsible for keeping the voice of quality in front of the platform core team by highlighting spikes and abnormalities in the data.

Has a collaborative and critical mind that seeks out the best solutions and be an excellent communicator who is comfortable creating healthy tension to move our platform teams to make well thought out choices that will maximize the benefit for our end customers and Cummins.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:

Bachelor of Science in Math, Statistics, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent technical degree

3 years of Data Analysis experience

Experience with Python and Power BI or R is a plus

Must be extremely detail oriented and a great communicator
