Job Summary:

The Marketing Support Associate supports the Builder Multifamily and ACP channels in tracking and expediting the sales and marketing business processes.  This position will report to sales and perform all functions related to the customer acquisition and retention process, including customer data flow through operations groups, along with account and sales activity maintenance. This position will be responsible for data management, reporting, supporting all marketing initiatives, contract management support and assisting sales with all areas of the customer and sales lifecycle.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Continually evaluate effectiveness of Builder/Multifamily and ACP processes, and initiate process and system improvement activities to increase residential sales.
  • Participate in and initiate cross-functional team discussions to develop timelines for marketing campaigns, new product development and project delivery.
  • Support all levels of new enrollments, switches, renewals and customer acquisition functions.
  • Be familiar with all databases, internal systems and files, using them to gain knowledge of customer participation, while updating and maintaining accurate information.
  • Onboard new customers by creating login credentials, providing account information, training onsite teams on the portal and verifying their units were accurately transferred.
  • Ensure the proper marketing materials are delivered and the customer fully understands the benefit of using our service via online trainings, with new and current partners, while keeping our value-add product first in their minds to promote to their prospective residents.
  • Serve as the key subject matter resource for marketing on operational and on-line requests; knowledgeable on all processes across customer lifecycle.
  • Research and resolve customer service issues as directed by EMMs/Sales Representatives and Sales Management, with a particular focus on enrollment status, and escalate any billing/disconnect issues.
  • Regularly review our internal dashboard to identify low performing properties, or accounts with no activity, while being proactive with suggestions to increase their participation.
  • Research and troubleshoot any billing issues, while handling all invoice requests.
  • Participate and contribute in the development marketing collateral and sales plan.
  • Serve on Apartment Association committees and be present at local events.
  • Proactively uncover leads and opportunities for new efforts or enhancement of existing business processes and gaining new business.
  • Organize and lead on-site trainings, as requested by partners.

Working Conditions:

  • Normal office environment, which may also include working from home as needed. 
  • Occasional travel required to visit communities as needed/requested.
  • Some overtime required as special projects arise.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. 
  • 1-2 years of experience working with customers in a problem-solving or sales support capacity. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge or previous experience in energy, utility and/or Multifamily industry preferred. 

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to make tough decisions in a timely manner, sometimes with incomplete information and under tight deadlines and pressure; has a bias for action.
  • Ability to own and deliver against specific sales and/or marketing commitments.
  • Ability to consolidate reports across marketing campaigns and share key learnings.
  • Team player who can build relationships with people at all levels and with cross-functional teams.
  • Must maintain a positive attitude and willing to do whatever it takes to assist sales with achieving all set goals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point); Experience with Salesforce a plus.
  • Organized and able to multi-task while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain knowledge about electric markets, competition, our programs and services, while continually educating and training on industry and company. 
  • Must be flexible and wiling to adapt in an ever-changing environment.
