We are currently seeking a talented individual for the position of Automotive Serviceman A in the Fleet Services Department.  The successful candidate will provide vehicle and equipment maintenance for Tucson Electric Power's Fleet department.

Candidates selected for testing will receive a confirmation at the email address provided on the application with notification of the scheduled date and time for the testing session.  If a passing score is received on the written test, successful candidates will receive an email for the hands on testing.

Vacancies exist for the position of Automotive Serviceman A in Fleet Services.  This job classification provides vehicle and equipment maintenance for TEP's Fleet.

Normal Minimum Requirements

  • Five years' experience in performing truck and equipment repairs and maintenance or equivalent
  • Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Must possess a valid up-to-date driver's license with the ability to maintain

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement

  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance service, electrical and safety equipment inspection and maintenance, fuel vehicles, minor repairs, tune-ups, brake jobs, safety lane inspections and other related functions.

  • Ability to drive equipment to and from locations

  • Ability to demonstrate problem solving skills, attention to detail and mechanical aptitude

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

  • Ability to work with fellow workers and customers in a team environment

  • Required to be available to work overtime, shiftwork and in inclement weather

  • Physical ability to bend, stoop, lift up to 50 lbs, climb and carry tools for extended periods of time

  • Must have experience and demonstrate proficiency in Mig Welding minimum of 1 year experience required
