Description
The Project Accountant role at B&W is responsible for supporting a business segement by analyzing/preparing project financial status reports/reviews and will directly report to the Business Segment Controller.
- Review and prepare monthly project financial status reports
- Prepare quarterly project financials for reviews with senior management
- Work closely with project manager and other project team members to ensure accurate reporting and financial visibility to the project
- Maintain accurate estimates at completion and proper revenue recognition, in accordance with GAAP
- Analyze and understand all financial aspects of the project
- Monthly accruals
- Support monthly close process
- Invoice customer
- Forecast revenue on a quarterly basis
- Forecast cash on a monthly basis
- Closely monitor accounts receivable and drive timely cash collection
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent years of relevant experience
- 3+ years of relevant accounting experience is preferred
- Thrive in a fast-pace environment
- Handle several projects at once
- Work closely with various departments and project teams
- Self-starter
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access
