Description

The Business Analyst will work closely with their division, office, business line, and department leadership to monitor, evaluate, and audit performance of projects and portfolios in areas of project planning, financial performance, project schedules, and quality control. The Business Analyst will play a key role in monitoring market conditions, researching industry trends, and client spends as inputs into the annual business planning process. Develop and maintain reporting tools to communicate health of projects, client portfolios, and business lines and to surface insights to improve organizational effectiveness. In addition, the Business Analyst will maintain close coordination with the regional offices to help foster a collaborative environment with regards to opportunities, staffing, and business needs.

Roles/Responsibilities

  • Maintain and communicate monthly client portfolio and business line financial status analysis

  • Analyze and prepare adhoc summary reports for leadership using financial models

  • Support Project Managers (PM) and ProjectManagers-in-Training (PMIT) with the creation and implementation of tools, financial analysis, and PM processes that foster consistency in performance and reporting

  • Administer the T&D Initiatives Program including coaching, education, and status reporting of approved initiatives.

  • Assist in implementation of initiatives, communicating implementation timelines and monitoring adoption

  • Collaborate with T&D Business Manager on data modeling and financial summary development

  • Collaborate with T&D Finance Manager on financial health analysis

  • Support annual planning, quarterly meetings and, coordination with regional office leadership

  • Support opportunity tracking, business forecasting in CRM as required

  • Maintain high level of competency in EcoSys, support PMs if needed with forecasting, financial adjustments, and closeout

  • Research and communicate market and client trends, risks, and opportunities

  • Support T&D Financial Manager and client team leadership with rate sheet profitability analysis and rate negotiation/updates.

  • Advocate for T&D to IT Data Analytics & Reporting and Corporate Strategic Initiatives

  • Facilitate maintenance of accurate business line CRM data by working with PMs and providing quarterly sales updates

  • Track key trends such as. chargeability, contingency/warranty percentages, etc. and provide updates to management on areas of concerns/actions

  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Economics or related degree from an accredited program

  • 3 years related professional experience

  • Basic knowledge of economic application software

  • Strong skills utilizing Power BI, Power Platform tools, and familiarity utilizing Burns & McDonnell corporate data models

  • Project Management or Project Controls experienced preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Strong attention to detail
