GridPoint is seeking Associate Energy Data Analyst to join our Energy Advisory Services team. This position involves analyzing and triaging facility exception data through GridPoint's existing catalog of database queries and issues; as well as working collaboratively and creatively to find and add new issues and anomalies.  This is a key role within the organization and is a growth area for the company. You will use your analytic skills to identify data quality and facility asset control issues and help manage these issues to resolution.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Query, compare, analyze, and triage incoming facility data points (amperage, voltage, kW, temperature, etc.)
  • Identify data quality or asset control issues
  • Work with Support team to notify customers about facility issues/exceptions present in data
  • Create new exception queries and outcome action processes
  • Track issue to closure and document closed loop outcome
  • Work cross functionally to outline and manage issue resolution
  • Work independently and in conjunction with other analysts, internal and external teams
  • Aid in product development and industry trend analyses
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or in close team environments
  • Desire to learn and grow within an expanding organization

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, statistics, engineering, or related field
  • Critical thinking- capable of generating consistently accurate, useful reports as well as an enthusiasm for translating data into actionable insight relevant to company objectives
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Some experience with querying large databases
  • Experience with data validation and data point comparison
  • Able to contribute to statistical innovation, process, and product improvement initiatives
  • Firm grasp of key statistical modeling methodologies and familiarity with complex analytics
  • Proven ability to lead or mentor co-workers in a formal or informal capacity
  • Understanding building/facility technical functionality
  • Experience with Building/Energy Management technologies
