To do this, Itron is seeking an innovative Software Engineer with ability to complete full stack development. Itron is seeking a person who is passionate about technology and growing their skillset. How well you continue to learn is just as important as what you know. We highly prefer backend development experience in C# with some front end and database development experience.
This position designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software products used in commercial enterprise world-class solutions. Using current programming languages and technologies such as C#, TypeScript, T-SQL, you will write code, and perform testing and debugging, and assist in the documentation of applications.
The ideal candidate will have experience creating applications that are able to operate in distributed and big data environments. Additionally, the ability to create unit tests around the application using a "test first" methodology is highly preferred. Effective communication with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications is essential.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ability to work in a team of development and test engineers in an Agile/Scrum methodology to deliver product on a fast cadence
- Work in a highly collaborative environment, interacting constantly with the team and external stakeholders to ensure high value and high-quality delivery
- Create applications that operate in, and take advantage of, multi-threaded processing
- Given a feature request, design a solution for the team
- Develop test driven/test first unit tests
- Navigate big data challenges to create performant applications
- Define scope of effort of large projects - identify risks and implement viable courses of action.
- Understand business goals linked to the development and application of technology
- Focus on the needs of the customer to deliver a compelling product
Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience using C# .NET to design, develop and test applications
- Minimum of 1 year of direct SQL Server development experience
- Minimum of 1 year of direct REST or web service development experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience

- Azure DevOps
- Visual Studio 2019
- SQL Server
- DevOps build and release pipelines
- Microsoft Azure experience deploying SaaS based applications
- TypeScript preferably with the AngularJS framework
- Distributed programming experience
- Experience with Linux and Windows
